By Charles Dickens
Adapted by Ian Mullins
This Christmas, Reading Rep Young Company takes to the stage with David Copperfield by Ian Mullins, inspired by another Dickens classic being brought to life on the Reading Rep stage this festive season.
Drawing inspiration from the theatre’s immersive approach to Dickens’ much-loved Christmas story, the Young Company will step into this atmospheric world to tell another of his most celebrated tales. David Copperfield follows its young hero through unexpected friendships, formidable characters, hardship, humour and discovery as he searches for his place in the world.
Making use of the set and surroundings created for A Christmas Carol, this Young Company production brings Ian Mullins’ adaptation to life with the energy, imagination and ensemble spirit of Reading Rep’s young performers.
A celebration of young talent, storytelling and the enduring world of Dickens, David Copperfield offers audiences a fresh theatrical adventure on the Reading Rep stage this Christmas.
This amateur production is presented by arrangement with Music Theatre International
