Reading Rep was founded with a gift of just £1,000, match funded by Reading Borough Council. Seven years later we have created nearly 20 professional productions with many of the leading theatres and artists in the country. Through our multi award-winning outreach work we reached nearly 15,000 children, young people and vulnerable adults in the last 12 months alone. Thanks to the overwhelming support of audiences and funders we have done all of this operating from a 60 seat studio space in Reading College.
Increasing audience numbers and overwhelming demand has meant that we need a permanent home and greater capacity to produce and present multi-award winning theatre for Reading.
